Present Position
Bradley G. Wardrop, MAI, is a Senior Appraiser/Consultant with Wardrop Real Estate Group, Inc, a commercial real estate appraisal firm. Mr. Wardrop specializes in valuation and consultation regarding complex real estate issues for clients that are both local and national in scope. He is experienced in multiple staff management of diverse engagements regarding both single asset commercial properties and major, multi-state portfolios. He has extensive experience in market analysis, land use, market and feasibility studies performed for developers, lenders, portfolio management firms, commercial mortgage brokers, and attorneys. He has also supervised numerous multidiscipline engagements including marketability and minority interest discounting
Experience
Mr. Wardrop has been actively engaged in commercial real estate on a full time basis since 1983. His experience encompasses consultation or appraisal of virtually all property types including subdivision land, multi-family housing, garden and high-rise office buildings, all types of industrial/manufacturing facilities, neighborhood shopping centers, power centers, regional malls, hotels, and numerous limited or special use properties.
He has successfully provided expert testimony on several occasions in deposition and in Federal Bankruptcy Court in Arizona and Superior Court in Arizona. His valuation and consultation skills have been used for properties in Arizona, Utah, and California, regarding common and unique property types in both urban and rural settings.
History
In 1994, Mr. Wardrop established Wardrop Real Estate Group, Inc. Prior to his establishing his own appraisal company; he was the Chief Appraiser at HomeFed Bank in San Diego California. In 1990 he was employed as a Senior Review Appraiser with the Resolution Trust Corporation for two years. In 1989 he owned his own appraisal practice. In 1983 he was employed as an appraiser with the local firm of Sell, Huish and Associates now (Sell and Associates) where he began his career.
Education
Mr. Wardrop is a graduate of Brigham Young University and holds a B. S. degree in Finance with a double minor in Accounting and Economics.
Professional Affiliations & Designations
Mr. Wardrop, MAI, is current with all continuing education requirements of the Appraisal Institute under membership No. 9917 (May 1993). He is an Arizona State Certified General Appraiser (No. 30194). He holds the National Association of Realtors commercial brokerage designation of CCIM No. 15761 (April 2009). He is a past member of the Appraisal Institute Review Committee (1994) and also the Regional Ethics and Counseling Panel (1993). Mr. Wardrop has assisted the Disciplinary Committee of the Arizona Board of Appraisal in reviewing complaints (2003). He also holds other appraisal designations from the National Association of Realtors and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
